Why treatment tracking is important

For patients who struggle with planning and organizing, or those with a chronic illness which may require multiple treatments for optimal management, keeping on top of a treatment plan might feel overwhelming. This is where treatment tracking with Human can help.
Why treatment adherence is important
Treatment adherence is taking a medication (or other treatment) as prescribed.
Studies show that poor treatment adherence can lead to negative health outcomes, and for these patients, this can lead to more hospitalizations, clinic visits, deaths, and and an overall increase in the amount of money they spend on healthcare as a result of experiencing complications.
So it’s important that if you are receiving treatment, that it’s being completed correctly. The Human Health mobile app has been designed to make keeping up with your treatment plan easy, so that you can spend less time and effort managing your treatments.
How can treatment tracking with Human Health help?
Tick off your treatments as you go
The Plan tab allows you to add all of your treatments into the app, so that you can see a daily overview of which treatments you’re due to complete and when. Your plan is entirely customizable to you, with options to record how often you need it, how much of the treatment you take and in what format, and any special instructions.
The calendar view makes it easy to see on which days you’ve completed all your treatments, and if you’ve missed any. If you do forget to mark a treatment as completed, you can go back at any time and mark it as completed, so that your record stays accurate.
The boost of accomplishment that comes with marking a treatment as completed in the app might help you establish a routine overtime that makes it easier to remember to complete your treatments.
Get notifications so you never miss a treatment
We’re all human, and sometimes remembering to take our treatment can simply slip from our minds. It happens!
The Human Health app can send you notifications when it’s time to complete a treatment, providing you with a gentle nudge to help you stay on track. You can even customize the notifications with a personalized message that you won’t miss.
To turn on treatment notifications within the app, click your name in the top-left corner of the screen, select Notifications, and turn on treatment reminders. Please note that you will need to have notifications enabled in your device settings for Human Health to send you these reminders.
Streamline consultations with your healthcare team
With Human, you don’t have to remember everything that’s changed about your treatments and symptoms off the top of your head anymore—what a relief! Keeping all of your information in one place could help simplify conversations with your healthcare team about how your treatments are affecting.
The Human app also automatically calculates your treatment adherence scores, making it clearer and easier than ever for your healthcare team to assess how your treatment plan is working for you.
See how your treatments are affecting your symptoms in real time
The Insights tab shows you how the symptoms you choose to track have been changing over time. You can also keep a log of any side effects you may be experiencing due to your treatments as symptoms or health events within the app.
Insights might help you understand patterns in your symptoms that may be affected by your treatment, based on when you started, changed, or stopped certain treatments. The more you track, the more you learn about your health.
