Sign in to Human Health in one click with Google and Apple

Introduction

We’ve heard your feedback – You can now sign-in to the Human Health app with just one click, using your Google or Apple credentials 🎉

This feature is available to existing users (where their Human Account email matches their Google or Apple details) and to new users alike.

Elevating Security with Google and Apple Integration

We understand that keeping your personal and health information secure is very important to you. That's why we've added new sign-in options using Google and Apple. Both companies offer top-notch security features like multi-factor authentication and ongoing monitoring to protect your logins.

Using Google or Apple to sign in also helps prevent phishing attacks, because they use advanced techniques to check your identity based on your location and device whenever you log in. Plus, Google and Apple continuously update and enhance their security systems to ensure your security online.

Simplifying Your Digital Experience

Managing separate passwords for apps and platforms can be a cumbersome task, especially on mobile – people often turn to password managers like 1Password and Bitwarden to store and auto-fill credentials, or password saving functionality built into iCloud and Chrome.

By removing the need to remember another password or create yet another entry in a password manager, we’ve made it easier for you to access the health information you need, when you need it, securely and efficiently.

Prioritizing Privacy and Your Autonomy

At the heart of our new login feature lies our deep respect for your privacy and autonomy over your health data.

We understand the value of your personal health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII), and we take our responsibility to protect it seriously. Your choices and control over what you share are paramount to us.

It’s important for you to know that when you use the Google and Apple sign-in options for our Human Health app:

  • We do not share any Private Health Information (PHI) or Private Identifiable Information (PII) with Google or Apple.
  • We request only your name and email from Google and Apple, so that we can match this with your account
  • Moreover, we do not save any biometric data, such as fingerprints or FaceID. In the future, we plan to add FaceID to make the sign-in process even quicker. When we do, rest assured that biometrics will remain local to your device, safeguarded by standard iOS and Android protocols.
